A bonsai that is still in blossom next year
A real plum tree flowers for two weeks and needs years of care. This one keeps every blossom, and asks for none.

Zero maintenance
A permanent display piece
Built once, it needs no water, no sunlight and never drops a blossom.

A slow build
Brick by brick, from root to blossom
Open the box and lay the 669 pieces out: the browns for the trunk and branches, the blacks and tans for the pot and stand, the reds and yellows for the blossoms. The booklet shows every step with the pieces you need.
The carved stand and the low pot come first, then the gnarled trunk grows branch by branch. This is where the tree gets its character.
Each red blossom is built petal by petal around its yellow centre, then clipped onto the branches with the buds. This is the slow, satisfying part.
Angle the branches the way you like them, scatter a few fallen petals around the base and set the tree where you would put a real bonsai. Then leave it alone: it needs nothing from you.
Why not just buy a bonsai?
Because a real one needs daily watering, careful pruning and years of patience. This one asks nothing of you.

Before you build
The questions people ask before their first build.
About the size of a small real bonsai: roughly 25 cm tall and 30 cm wide including the stand, so it sits comfortably on a shelf or desk. Exact measurements are printed in the booklet.
They are small-scale bricks, yes. The printed booklet shows every step with the pieces you need, and sorting them by colour first makes the build easy to follow.
The gnarled trunk, the carved stand and the layered red blossoms are designed to read as a tree, not a toy. Up close, the studs are part of the charm.
Plan on an evening or two. It is meant to be slow: sort, build the stand and trunk, shape the blossoms, then angle the branches the way you like them.
It is designed for ages 14 and up. The set contains small parts, so keep it away from young children.
